This site is devoted to preserving the family history of my ancestors and to assist others in the search for their family history.  Much of the information contained within this site pertaining to the Loomis, Derrick and the Stowe Families was obtained from the hard work of my great grandmother, Bessie Merritt Reynolds Stow and her mother, Cora Jeanette Merritt.  Both of these women were active in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).  Their dedication and determination to noting much of our history has helped my research considerably.  The accuracy of their work is believed to be thorough although I have been trying to back this data up with official documentation whenever possible.
